Drive-Through Backpack GiveAway 8/12 from 4-7pm at the Heights Church HUSD has partnered again with the Fire Fighter Angel Foundation, AZtv7, the Yavapai Food Bank and all Yavapai County school districts to hold a combined backpack giveaway for families in need. Please pre-register for the event prior to 8/12 so that we can plan accordingly. This is a first come first serve basis and only families that pre-register will be able to come through the line. We are anticipating a high volume of cars participating and therefore registration is required. We are grateful to the Heights Church for opening up their parking lots for our event and thank everyone in the community that has donated money, supplies and backpacks for this event. School Re-Entry Protocols 7/20/2020 HUSD released information last week in our Re-Entry Protocol document outlining our learning options and safety measures. We also provided a link to a google form to submit additional questions that may not have been addressed in our document. Both of these documents are located on all school websites under News. We have been working on consolidating the questions that have been submitted to date and will be working on getting the answers to those questions. As this situation is fluid we are anticipating receiving guidance from Governor Ducey at his press conference later this week, but it is anticipated to be held on Thursday, July 23rd. We ask for your patience on updates as the information we have today may change on Thursday. We would like to provide the most up-to-date information and answers to questions and feel that waiting until after Thursday's press conference would allow us to do so. We appreciate your patience during this unprecedented time and look forward to providing you with the most current information. Thank you. Pre-Enrollment Forms Dear parents and guardians, We appreciate the support we have received and are asking for your participation as we move through uncharted waters. Please help us with planning by providing feedback for each of your students on what their learning choice will be at the beginning of the school year based on the information and protocols that are in place at this time. As HUSD plans for the reopening of all 10 of our schools, we want you to know that our decisions will be based on the safety guidelines mandated by the state. Our number one priority is the safety of our students and staff. Please be patient as the protocols and guidelines are changing almost weekly, which may affect our reopening plan. We are anticipating starting school on August 3rd through online learning then we will transition to in-person learning starting August 17th, but this is only if there are no changes from the Governor’s office in regards to the current executive order. Apreciados/as padres, madres de familia y guardianes: Nosotros apreciamos el apoyo que hemos recibido y les estamos pidiendo su participación en este tiempo difícil en el que estamos pasando a través de situaciones que nunca habíamos tenido. Por favor ayúdenos a planear suministrándonos información de cada uno de sus estudiantes en lo que se refiere a la clase de educación escolar que ellos van a escoger al comienzo del año escolar basados en la información y protocolos que se tomarán durante esta época. Ya que el Distrito Unificado de Escuelas Humboldt planea iniciar las clases nuevamente en todas las 10 escuelas, queremos que sepa que nuestras decisiones estarán basadas en direcciones de las guías de seguridad exigidas por el estado de Arizona.
